I have to admit I’m a bit of a product hoarder. I love my tried and true products, keep back stock on all of them, and am always on the lookout for the next, best thing. Some products have stayed with me for years and years, and others, well let’s just say they didn’t make it to the second use. That being said, I was thrilled to find the article in Allure Magazine this month that shares “50 Products to Buy Before You Die.” Some I already use, and some I can’t wait to rush out and get. To see the whole list, check out the article, but in the meantime, here are some I love, and others I would love some feedback on.

Someone gave me a Clarisonic as a gift, and I evnded up giving it away. Way too expensive and it didn’t do much for me at all. What REALLY works for my skin is Derma E’s home microdermabrasion scrub. Super affordable, all natural, smells great, works amazingly. I also use their green tea and vitamin A wrinkle prevention cream and a few others. I’m a Derma E devotee! And also…Laura Mercier foundation is the absolute best (for my skin at least). Half the price of Armani and I think it looks more natural on my skin.

Messy palettes are a pet peeve of mine; I can’t handle dirty ones. The Urban Decay palettes stay so clean though, there’s not a ton of fall out from the shadows which helps keep them clean. Plus, you can create so many looks with one palette and in the long run it’s cheaper than purchasing twelve individual shadows and it’s easier to store. I like the first Naked palette better than the second and the third is a bit too pink for me.

I have a Clarisonic, and used it for about 2 months, but I finally stopped using it – it made my skin 1000x worse than it was before I started using it! I’d heard there was something called a “purge period” where it brings all the under-skin dirt to the surface and your skin gets worse before it gets better, but I mean… it was AWFUL! I guess some people’s skin is just too sensitive for it…
I also have the Naked paletted & the Naked2. The pots are deep enough that it doesn’t get messy, and all the colors are separated. I am looking into getting Naked3, too! They are really all you need!
