Good Morning! Each week I plan to feature an old home, whether it be a fixer upper, a great deal, or something we all dream of. I love old, historical homes and wish I could move to some ranch or farmhouse and redo the whole thing. With so many great fixer upper and DIY shows out there, it’s easy to get ideas, but where do we find the old homes to begin? There is an amazing website and app called Circa that will deliver all the tools you need. I’ll feature homes from the site and link you to where you can find them if you so desire!
Today’s home is called Palmetto Hall and is in Mobile, Alabama. The home is circa 1846 and has a ton of character. According to Circa, the home was given the name Palmetto Hall to pay homage to the state flower of South Carolina. The home is on sale for the first time in 58 years and has 6.5 bedrooms, 5 baths, and is 8,500 sq. ft. on 3 to 5 acres. All the details of the home are dreamy and if you’ve ever seen the movie “Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte” with Bette Davis, it will remind you of her historical home. A definite must see!!
