Floral Park Home and Garden Tour

Yesterday I got to spend the day with my gorgeous mama and our friend Kelly at the Floral Park Home and Garden Tour in Santa Ana, CA. I’ve been on several home tours and this was by far the best. There were vendors, food to snack on and the gorgeous vintage neighborhood of Floral Park. I’m a sucker for vintage houses and these are fabulous! I took a few photos of the exteriors, but we unfortunately we couldn’t take photos of the interiors. If you get a chance to take the tour next year, make sure you don’t miss it!

2409 North Park--I have to say the exterior of the Zlaket house was probably my favorite. Take a look at that fabulous roof! It cost $85,000 to refurbish! What I loved about this home was all the history. It was built in 1927 by the Zlaket family, who still owns the Zlaket market in Garden Grove. They lived there until they died, and then the next owners lived there for 27 years! The breakfast nook is beyond words. It has a dome ceiling painted sky blue with plaster moldings. 902 North Riviera--This 1938 cottage-style home was by far my favorite. The current owner has made this home absolutely homey and charming. Not to mention the fact that it's full of history! Mrs. Danziger, the original owner, was one of Santa Ana's most prominent and charismatic residents who owned a tea shop in the Santora Building in downtown Santa Ana and was hostess to many of Hollywood's stars such as William Holden and Lucille Ball. Some of my favorite things about this home? The two antique sconces that the owner purchased in France that hung in her T.V. room were to die for! I also loved the kitchen, complete with a beautiful Lacanche chef stove imported from France. Lastly I fell in love with the powder room with the bright pink wallpaper.
