Paramount Studios Tour

April 22, 2014

Monday again…the only good thing about it is it’s almost over haha!  I can’t believe we’re almost done with the school year, when I have so much to do!  But, at least we’ve had some gorgeous weather and that means getting out and getting some fresh air.  This past weekend I went to Paramount Studios in Hollywood (you know the one, “the longest operating and only remaining major studio in Hollywood”).  I think the Warner Bros. studio tour was a bit more exciting, but the old Hollywood glam was much more evident at Paramount.  I mean, where else can you stand in front of the actual gates that Gloria Swanson was driven through in Sunset Boulevard?

I loved this park in the middle of the original offices and main area of the studio. To the left were the actors dressing rooms, where people like Audrey Hepburn and Clara Bow waited for their scenes.

I loved this in the New York Area of the studio. These are the "Tom and Nicole doors." If you notice the one on the left is much shorter, where someone like Tom Cruise, who is 5'8 would stand to make himself appear taller. The right door is where someone like Nicole Kidman, who is 6' would stand to appear smaller.

Lucille Ball's bungalow!!! So amazing.

This tank (parking lot) is often filled with water, the background is changed and water scenes are filmed here. The water scene from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was filmed here.

This tour looks fabulous. I said to my mum today that I must go back to LA and do the studio tours.

Inspiration & Blessings

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

Psalm 37:7-9
