The Lizzie Borden Chronicles

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebrating…I had a great weekend.  He is risen!! I’m on Spring Break this week, but might not be blogging a lot, because I’m headed in for a minor surgery on Wednesday.  I’d appreciate all prayers if possible!

Last January (2014), Lifetime created a made for TV movie called “Lizzie Borden Took An Ax.”  The critics didn’t love it, but I thought it was well done and presented the factual story of Lizzie Borden in an interesting way.  Christina Ricci (who I love) played Lizzie Borden and was the perfect balance of creepy and scary at the same time.  The fashion in the film was of course what I focused on because there were so many fabulous dresses, brooches, and hats.

Last night Lifetime aired the first episode of “The Lizzie Borden Chronicles,” an 8-episode TV show based on the previous film.  If you like dark history, you’ll enjoy this.  Once again the costumes are amazing and Christina is the perfect choice as Lizzie Borden.  Here are a few stills from the show and the trailer advertising the series.  If you missed the first episode, it’s on the Lifetime app for apple TV. I’ll be watching, will you?
