It’s been years since I’ve been to gorgeous Lake Tahoe. Whether it’s winter or summer, there’s always something fun to do, and the scenery is to die for. After seeing a few pins today on Pinterest, I’m thinking I’m craving a little trip up north. What about you? Have you been there? Do you prefer the north or south side? Here are a few photos in case you’re on the fence, and a few ideas for where to stay.
So…where to stay?
If you want the nightlife and extras of a casino, try Harvey’s, Harrah’s or MontBleu.
If a bed and breakfast is more to your liking, try Black Bear Inn or Fireside Lodge.

These pictures are gorgeous, they make me want to go back and visit Lake Tahoe! My husband and I lived in Tahoe (in Stateline, so just over the Nevada border from South Lake Tahoe) for about a year and half and loved it! There is nothing in the world like skiing at Heavenly and looking at the lake as you’re coming down the mountain! As for where to stay, I would HIGHLY recommend Basecamp Hotel in South Lake Tahoe – it’s very centrally located and the decor is perfection!

Lake Tahoe holds a special place in my heart. My family owns a cabin up there, halfway between South Lake Tahoe and Tahoe City, and we went every summer of my life until I was 20. I’ve spent so many fun weekends up there as a college kid, and Danny and I even had a little getaway there when we first started dating. I don’t get up there nearly as much as I would like anymore!
I’m so jealous your family owns a cabin there Robyn. It’s one of my favorite places. We took a few trips there when I was a child and I’ve loved it ever since. I’m hoping to get there again soon! Kori xoxo
