The Met Gala takes place next Monday, May 1 and it’s sure to be fabulous. If you don’t know what the Met Gala is, it’s the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, a black tie event that is held to raise money for the costume institute. Each year the exhibit takes on a fashionable theme, with this year being Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons.
Ticket prices are a bit out of my budget, with them being $30,000 a piece or $275,000 for a table. WOW. The decor is always amazing and I can’t wait to see what they do this year. In the meantime, here are a few of the previous years interiors for the Gala.
