We all know that trends often come back around. I graduated from high school in the 90’s (gasp!), and there are several trends from the 90’s I would love to never ever see again lol. I grew up when grunge rock was fashionable. We worn flannels, Doc Martens of course, and Birkenstocks…with socks. Birks were comfy, easy to throw on, and you could wear them in rain or shine (add some socks if it’s raining and you’re good). I owned several pairs myself, including some mint green nubuck that were my favorite. I honestly thought I’d never see people wearing Birks again in my lifetime, unless you’re a “Granola,” (earthy-looking and attend school at one of the Claremont Colleges nearby). But, like everything else, they’re back, and of course I’m starting to think I want a pair. They’re perfect for the upcoming concert season. So what do ya think? Ugly enough to be cute? Or just too hideous to even think about?

Haha I’m so glad I kept mine from highschool! They basically look brand new because I didn’t wear the sandals as much as the clogs! Remember those?! Haha
I do remember those and had a few pairs! They were so comfy! Kori 😉
Yes, they are back. I bought a pair last year and love them. They were huge in Turkey last summer, every other woman wore them and I was like “is this really happening?”. I wore mine every day, except for big events. They were the most comfortable ones ever – I ditched my flipflops and regular sandals.
I’m so sucked in and can’t wait to get another pair. I’m feeling lucky because we have a Birkenstock store here in Claremont! Kori xoxo
I have been wanting Birks for years and I too fell in love with the Black Woven Arizona’s and I’m feeling lucky this morning because Urban Outfitters had them in stock in my size last night. I can’t wait to wear them!
OMG lucky girl!!! I went to their webpage and don’t see them. I’m so jealous! Kori xoxo
