Cleopatra–The Original Sexy Siren

October 5, 2011

For some reason the Egyptian/Grecian style seems to be surrounding me lately.  Our Homecoming was last week and the theme was “Going Greek.”  Then, I happen to turn on the TV tonight and a documentary on Cleopatra (Cleopatra: Portrait of a Killer) is on.
So, what better to post on than Cleopatra herself and the style she was so known for?  If you don’t know much about this famous femme fatale, you owe to yourself to learn about her.  Her life was a fascinating one for sure.
So, what do you think of the Egyptian/Grecian style?  It’s a cute costume idea for Halloween right?  Even though it doesn’t seem like it, I’m linking up for Wordless (Semi) Wednesday with my friend Daphne over at Flip Flops and Pearls.  Go check her out!
AND
don’t forget to link up with me tomorrow for Flirting With Temptation Thursday!

I LOVE the dramatic eyes and elegance of this look…but definitely think it needs to be theme or halloween…

I love everything Egyptian or Greek. I’ve watched Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra more times than I can count. If you ever get the chance you should go see the museum exhibition for Cleopatra, it’s truly amazing to see.

I love the Grecian style. I mean, it’s not an everyday look, but overall I love the ethereal feel and the laid back look while still looking polished.

I used to work at a wedding dress boutique and one of my favorite dresses was Greecian-the Pronovias Heraldo.

Great post! And don’t forget to check out the giveaway!

Inspiration & Blessings

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

Psalm 37:7-9
