After yesterday’s post on Annie Leibovitz’s Disney photos, I stumbled across another spread I fell in love with. The spread is a few years old, but it is amazing. As you know I’m a huge fan of Vanity Fair Magazine, so of course I found amazing photos from there. Annie Leibovitz was once again the photographer in a spread from February 2008.
The concept was to redo classic Hitchcock film posters by using today’s actors. They are so beautiful. What do you think?
Charlize Theron in Dial M For Murder
Scarlett Johansson and Javier Bardem in Rear Window
Naomi Watts in Marnie
Keira Knightley and Jennifer Jason Leigh in Rebecca
Emile Hirsch and James McAvoy in Strangers On A Train
Renee Zellweger in Vertigo
Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey, Jr. in To Catch A Thief
Seth Rogen in North By Northwest
Marion Cotillard in Psycho

Oh wow how awesome are these?!!! Super cool and fun! I love them all! I am a MASSIVE Hitchcock fan – I’ve seen ALL his movies. My fave is Vertigo. Just love it. Doesn’t Charlize look lovely as Grace Kelly? I love the Rear Window one, the To Catch a Thief poster looks awesome – it’s funny how Gwyneth is dressed as Grace Kelly – remember how she played Grace’s part in the remake of Dial M for Murder – A Perfect Murder? I loved even the remake. The Psycho remake was rubbish though imho. I love all these thanks for putting them up!
She is awesome!

I’ve always liked Hitchcock’s movies. He had quite the imagination. And few people know that he was an avid sports fan too.
Now these I LOVE! The Birds and Rear Window are two of my favorite Hitchcok movies. That picture of Renee Zellweger though….I had to take a second glance, it doesn’t look like her to me!
Love these! Makes me want to have a Hitchcock movie night! Um, when is the next storm rolling through? 😉 *Carrie
