Today, June 1, 1926 Marilyn Monroe was born, or rather Norma Jean Baker was born. The starlet and legend we came to know as Marilyn Monroe would have turned 85 today. I have always been a fan of Marilyn, but really came to appreciate her vulnerability and insecure qualities only in the past few years. In fact, some of you might remember that I began this blog inspired by her, thus the name Blonde Episodes. Although pics of Marilyn from my header have disappeared, she still remains on the blog in spirit. So, happy birthday Marilyn, you inspire me every day.
By the way, don’t forget to enter my fabulous giveaway! So many goodies to win! Have a great day friends!
She surely is missed! Happy belated birthday to such a beautiful woman! We’re almost birthday twins! 🙂

Sometimes I forget just how young Marilyn was in so many of the iconic photos of her. Love all of these photos! Maybe I’ll have some champagne and potato chips for her! 😉

I just love Marilyn… So stunningly beautiful. I’m sure she would have aged so gracefully.

Happy birthday Marilyn! It took me a very long time to appreciate her, but now I’m really in love with her as well. She was such a gifted performer, and really a poetic person and artist. I also LOVE the Marilyn spirit of your blog 🙂
She’s such a beauty!! I bet she would have even been a lovely older lady had she lived. Have a great week, Kori!
I was obsessed with her when I was younger. I did my 7th grade school report on her and I even dressed up like her!
Today I did a blog about Marilyn too! She sure was beautiful
