PinkLouLou’s makeup picks!

July 11, 2011

Hey girls!!
PinkLouLou here, and as you know Miss Kori is still out of town. I was super flattered when she asked me to guest blog, and I immediately started racking my brain with possible topics. I kept coming back to makeup, go figure, HA!
I don’t know if you are like me, but I have an addiction to a little store called Sephora. I heart makeup- like would probably spend my entire paycheck there if I could get away with it, but alas, then I could not eat for a month. SO I decided to start finding comparable products to some of my favorites, with a more reasonable price tag! I still get the good stuff, but recently I have been saving the goods for weekend nights, and using my drugstore finds during the week! I mean let’s get serious, I am at work everyday, and unfortunately there is no need to impress any one in my office, HA!
I have actually found some great finds!
For starters, I LOVE makeup forever HD foundation. It is light, but still covers oh so smoothly. Love it. When I went to the beach a few weeks ago I ran out of my foundation and had to pick up some wherever I could find it. Insert Revlon Photo finish.
It feels JUST like the Makeup Forever HD foundation. I was so surprised, I literally have not bought foundation from a drugstore since I was in middle school I believe. So, just so you know, if you are in need of a cheaper, everyday foundation, I fully support this Revlon Photo finish! I have been wearing it a lot recently in pictures on my blog , and I bet you can’t tell it’s not MU4E! 😉
Next let’s talk blush. Hands down the best blush IMHO, is NARS orgasm. Its glorious. Perfect shade for a natural, sunkissed, hint of golden sparkle glow. It’s cheaper counterpart I actually discovered while doing a blog review for Mary Kay. Their mineral blush in shy blush is eerily similar to the coveted NARS orgasm shade.  Genius I tell you!
The next two things are not replica products of anything, but just two LouLou drugstore must haves. I LOVE this mascara. People always ask if my eyelashes are fake, and no ma’am, they are mine! This stuff is so fantastic, but I will warn you if you like a traditional wand you might have trouble adjusting to this one as it is plastic. I was skeptical at first too, and then I became hooked.
And last but not least. It is summer. And I am always boppin’ around from the pool, to the patio, to out on the town, and who DOESN”T love a lipsmacker lipgloss. So what if you feel oh so seventh grade whippin’ out your pink lemonade chap stick. It keeps your lips soft and moisturized, and you don’t have to worry in the wind about getting your hair blown in your sticky lipgloss! Perfect cheap summer thrill if you ask me.
Hope you enjoyed, and hopefully you found out something useful! Until next time, stay beautiful lovelies!
 Xoxo PLL

I stare at that Revlon foundation for like 10 mins everytime I go to the store and talk myself out of getting it. Looks like its time to test it out before getting that MU4E! Thanks! Xo -Jet @ MoscatoVilla.blogspot

I definitely have 5 different foundations in my drawer because I need them for various things. LOL. I have the MUFE HD and I enjoy mixing it with other foundations for more coverage or wearing it alone for photos.

I am not a foundation wearer, but I have it for special events and things and I have to say that Revlon PhotoReady foundation is something I love and was impressed by! I am however thinking of going with Make-Up Forever for my wedding next year since it doesn’t have the SPF for picture purposes, but am loving the Revlon one and agree that it is FAB for the price!

Still love my lip-smackers, they have the best flavors and the perfect consistency. I’m pretty sure I still have some of the original 7th grade ones in the collection.

What a great guest post!!! Love the fact that you threw in Lipsmackers. Let me tell you I am beyond obsessed with Dr. Pepper Lipsmackers. It adds teh perfect amount of red. Also, love all the dupes you threw in..

Love this post!! Thank you! I’m going to try photofinish and I love Define A Lash! So easy to use and it doesn’t flake. My lashes look long too! I need to check out the blush because that color is sweet!
    Thanks!
