Are you watching? No? I’m so bummed I haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, but am planning on getting caught up this weekend. What am I talking about? The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story on FX. Many of the family members on both sides (Nicole’s and Ron’s) are voicing their dismay at FX airing the miniseries. I’m sure it’s very painful for them to relive the terrible times and I’m so sorry for their losses. Unfortunately, though when something becomes part of our culture, we have a morbid interest in it and whether it’s a bad memory or not, it’s still a memory. I remember being in college and coming home every day to watch the trial. I was sickened by the case. How could someone even think that O.J. didn’t commit these horrible crimes? His smug attitude made me sick. In the end, justice wasn’t served and I felt so bad for the families. America learned a hard lesson that day…just because you’re famous and were once a great athlete, you might just get away with murder.
If you’re watching I’d love to hear your thoughts. In the meantime, here’s some trivia about the miniseries. Have a great weekend!
