One of my favorite movies is "The Painted Veil." Although I love the original version starring Greta Garbo from 1934, I prefer the 1996 version with Naomi Watts and Edward Norton. The cinematography is amazing and the costumes are stunning. If you haven't seen either film, you must. Greta's performance in the original film didn't get wonderful reviews, and the 2006 was probably better described as a sleeper film, but the story line is great.Both films are based on W.
