I’m so excited this day has finally arrived! Yes, I am such a Harry Potter nerd. The 1st installment of the 7th book comes out at Midnight, and I am dying to see it! I wasn’t one of the Harry Potter followers right from the start. I have to admit, I fought the urge to read the books, and even wandered what the big deal was. I bought the whole series of books a few years ago and read them all over the summer. Thus, I was hooked! I love J.K. Rowling and her amazing writing style, and the films are so much fun. I can’t wait to get to the theater this weekend. Any plans to see the film? What do you think about the ending?
Have a fabulous Thursday friends! And, I know I’m repeating myself here, but don’t forget to enter my Christmas giveaway!

I saw the movie on Saturday and now understand why they broke the last book into two movies. I couldn’t believe how much detail they kept in! Loved it.

I will wait a couple of weeks to see it so the pandemonium dies down but I read all the books and I’m a fan!

I think I may be the only one not watching that movie.

My 17 year old step-daughter is a Potter maniac. She goes to all the openings, reads all the books, and just loves it all.

I’m in complete agreement with you – I had to be bribed into reading the first book, but then I was hooked! And I was one of those people who stood in line to get the last book in the wee hours of the morning.
Yes, I’ll see it Sunday; I would go tomorrow, but I have to be at work at 4:30 pm, so that kinda rules out any movie! Fred is soooooo NOT looking forward to it.
The ending? I was very satisfied. I honestly couldn’t figure out any way for the book to end except tragically, but Rowling pulled it off beautifully. However, I DID cry almost from the very beginning, sonce we lost so many of our most beloved characters in the final installment.
But I had reasoned a lot of stuff correctly – I figured out almost every detail of Snape’s life, past and present. The only thing I had wrong was that I thought it would be revealed he was a vampire. Guess not. And I also thought Dumbledore would come back to fight; I thought that, even though he had been killed, he might possess the same powers as the phoenix. Wrong on that one too. And I sure didn’t see THAT WORD coming out of Mrs. Weasley’s mouth!
Ooooooh, I can’t wait!

We hope to see it this Sunday after church. HP is one of the few series that has gotten better with each installment. Great post Kori.
