I’m thinking I need to take a trip soon as part of my resolutions. I have a ticket with Frontier I have to use and thought I would go to San Fran, but it looks like they don’t fly there from Southern California. Anyway, I digress, so I’m thinking I need to do a weekend trip anyway. I haven’t been since I was about 23 or so (wow 11 years!), so I’d love some suggestions of what to do. Anyone have any deals or know where I can find cheap flights or hotels there? Thanks!!!!!

I haven’t been to San Francisco, yet… A quick weekend trip sounds like fun. The question is what kind of weather do you want? How about a trip to Napa? Seattle, NYC or Chicago…? Skiing…? Hmmm, your possibilities are endless. You might want to sign up for US Airways e-saver comes out every Tuesday night and it typically has hotel deals and/or flights to but, ideas! I’m ready for a weekend trip too.

I love your photos. My brother, wife and 2 kids live in Albany (right next to Berkeley near the Bay) and every time I visit them, I can’t believe how lucky they are to live in such a beautiful city. Fortunately, I live in Central California so it’s only a 3 hour drive away. I hope you get there soon.

I can see why you would want to leave your heart in San Fransisco…it’s gorgeous! ๐
When I was a kid that used to be my biggest dream — to one day own a house in San Fransisco…ahh gorgeous!

My first visit to SF was two years ago. I loved it and can’t wait to go back. The Golden Gate Bridge is my favorite. When I walked out on it about mid way I thought I would be scared but I wasn’t, I loved it! ๐

Oooh what fun! I treated Mom to the Sir Francis Drake for her 50th. We stayed for I think $125 on a weekend. We had cocktails up at the bar on the top floor. Such a memory, I think my first bar experience with Mom. ๐

I used to live in Santa Cruz so, San Fran was my big city and probably my favorite of all time:)I think it would be great to tour all of the many different sections of SF. The Mission (where my best friend still lives)Downtown, little Italy, Chinatown, the Castro, there’s so many! You might want to also stay at a boutique hotel. I recommend Hotel Bijou although not the best location. Boutique Hotels have great ambiance and are affordable. I usually make the trip once a year but, stay with Cass. Wish I could go too! Have fun!!

I LOVE that old picture with Woolworth’s. San Fran is so much fun and so unique. I’ve only been once, but I’d love to go again soon.
