One of the reasons I’ve always wanted to live in New York was to have a gorgeous rooftop. I envision having fabulous parties up there, looking out over the city. There’s just something romantic about it. Am I just a dreamer? Do any of you live in buildings where you can hang out on the rooftop? Tell me all about it!

I have always loved the idea of a second story deck or roof to look out over pretty scenery. One day maybe even if it is for a vacation.

Those pics are all gorgeous! It would be so romantic to have a nice place like that. I once went onto a warehouse rooftop to watch our city’s annual Kentucky Derby fireworks show (Thunder Over Louisville). I was about 7 months pregnant at the time and had to climb up a skinny ladder to get to the roof. It wasn’t quite as glamorous as I had hoped, LOL!

I love them. Especially that last picture. Those people are making the most of their rooftop! I always check out the rooftops of Seattle from Mariners games at Safeco field and I’m surprised that quite a few have pools!

Gorgeous views. If Seattle doesn’t rain all the time, we’d have a lot more rooftop terraces here.

I share this dream with you! Rooftops are glorious! And you are normally so high up, that you can see a ton! One of the places I stayed in New York, was the only building around us without rooftop access, didn’t plan that right…

Hello Kori!
Rooftops can really be breathtaking and here in Greece most buildings have them. But we don’t use them as sitting areas. The reason is that we have balconys, always surrounded by pots of flowers which we use all year around, whenever the weather permits us. At my home we have a really large veranda with a view to the villages nearby and the sea. Have you ever been to Greece?
