I’m so sorry for the long absence! I’ve been down with the stomach flu and haven’t even been out of bed all week! This year is really hitting me hard with all of the stuff going around it seems! If you’ve been following my Instagram, you know I’m trying to get into golf (trying, I say because it’s a tough sport to learn!), and have to admit I’m a bit obsessed with it lately.
Following the LGPA is the perfect way to learn a little technique, keep up on the current fashions, and follow the ladies on tour. I figured what better way to learn about them and share with you than to do a series on the women of golf? For the next week or so, I’m going to share some of my favorite women golfers and give you the lowdown on who they are and of course show you their fabulous fashion sense.
Up first is 26 year-old Michelle Wie from Honolulu, HI. Michelle began playing golf at the age of four. “In 2000, at the age of 10, Michelle became the youngest qualifier ever at the USGA Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship. The milestones began to pile up quickly. Michelle won the Honolulu Mayor’s Open and was low amateur in the Hawaii State Women’s Open. Over the next three years she electrified Hawaiian golf with victories and shattered records for youngest ever in virtually every category.
By the age of 13, Michelle took her prowess to a whole new level by becoming the youngest golfer ever to make the cut at an LPGA tour event, the Kraft Nabisco Championship, a major no less, where she finished in the top 10.” (http://michellewie.com/bio).
Michelle is sponsored by Nike, Omega Watches, Kia Motors, McDonalds, and Sime Darby. Her career earnings total $5,262,202. Michelle is definitely one to watch for.
